Doubt
The nature of the mind is to always doubt. As a child we doubt, but soon after children follow their heart and they move ahead. As adults our mind continues to play some games with us. Adults always doubt positive qualities and trust negative ones. See if someone tells you “ Oh, that person is bad” you immediately believe him. “ Its true! Really etc” but if somene praise you, you don’t try to believe. You ask that person, “is that true, are you kidding”. Same with people expressing their love with you, “i love you” … “you really love me?? Are you sure?” but if someone says “Oh, i hate you”, immediately the mind is sure that hate is there.
If you are confused, try to relax, some music, a gentle walk in nature! See choice is always between bad and worse or good and better. Isn’t it? People come and go, comments are there and they disappear seconds later. Never identify yourself with what people may tell you. The Divine gave us the power of words for a bigger purpose, but we use these words to hide what’s on our mind, so definitely such words may hurt if we identify ourselves with them. Look closer to your life, your relatives, your friends your love, so many times you doubt and get depressed with their words. Someone praised you, its ok its not a big deal. That idea came to that person’s mind that you were special and some seconds later he may forget what he told you, but you keep on thinking of what he said. Most of the time people are simply removing some garbage out of their mind and you immediately take it for you and you keep it preciously. See either you doubt or you trust. I won’t try to take you on any spiritual path, but i’ll simply request you to doubt your negative qualities. Believe in things like “ hey are you sure he is a bad person?”, “ are you sure you are angry at me or is that hate only like waves in the ocean of love you are” and trust your positive qalities like compassion for others, a peaceful mind, trust that you are a fountain of love and peace. Who knows what may blossom in you the next second. Don’t throw anything, be it trust and doubt, both have their job. Day is here because of nite, sun is here because of the moon, doubt for the negative is there for trust in the divine nature has to be genuine.
